Kendrick Lamar leads the pack at this year’s American Music Awards.
The “Not Like Us” star is up for 10 awards, including Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and in the Artist of the Year category, where he’ll face competition from Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Post Malone, Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift, and more.
Malone followed with eight nominations, while Eilish and first-time nominees Roan and Shaboozey each earned seven.
Benson Boone, Doechii, Gracie Abrams, Jelly Roll, Lola Young, The Marias, ROSÉ, Teddy Swims, Tommy Richman, Tyla, and Artist of the Year nominees Carpenter and Zach Bryan are also first-time nominees this year.
While “Good Luck, Babe!” artist Roan didn’t have the most nominations, she is the only artist nominated in all three new categories: Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Social Song of the Year.
Swift, with six nominations, looks to extend her own record for the most AMA wins of all time, currently standing at 40. The “Fortnight” singer is also the current record holder for the most Artist of the Year wins, with seven, which she could extend if she takes the title again this year.
Meanwhile, Post Malone and Beyoncé are nominated in country categories for the first time.
Fan voting is open now at VoteAMAs.com and the @AMAs profile on Instagram.
While much of the night is about trophies, it’s even more so about music, and Jennifer Lopez, the night’s host, will be one of the performers. Additional performances are still to be announced.
The Las Vegas event will air live Monday, May 26, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBS and Paramount+.
