  • Sean “Diddy” Combs has been sued for allegedly assaulting a woman in July 2001 amid his ongoing sex trafficking trial

  • The woman, identified as Jane Doe, claims she and Combs met in May 2001

  • She alleges to have been raped by him in his New York City apartment and included graphic details of the alleged incident

Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing a new allegation of assaulting a woman in 2001, amid his ongoing sex trafficking trial and additional sexual assault allegations.

According to a lawsuit filed in the New York County Supreme Court on Wednesday, May 14, and obtained by PEOPLE, a woman, who identified herself as Jane Doe, claimed that the music mogul assaulted her in July 2001. The lawsuit, which TMZ first reported on, also names other defendants, including Bad Boy Entertainment.

Doe claims she met Combs in an elevator with three friends in May 2001. She alleges that the music mogul asked her for her number that same day and that she and her friends later met him at a club.

During their second encounter two days later, Doe alleges that he attempted to kiss her, but notes that she “physically moved” to avoid the kiss. Combs, however, allegedly contacted her again in July 2001 and invited her to his studio.

Doe says she brought a friend with her and that they later went to a club, but that there was a “sudden commotion” that caused bodyguards to rush them out and drive them to a restaurant, per court documents.

Doe claims that when she and her friend decided they were “ready to leave and chose to do so without warning,” Combs allegedly berated her on the phone.

The two allegedly then met again “on or about July 31, 2001,” during which Doe claims that she and a friend met Combs at the studio and then entered a tour bus with “opened condom wrappers, used condoms, and women’s underwear.”

After they arrived at their destination, the Bowery Ballroom, Doe alleges that she and her friend were brought to a private area, where they were given drinks that made them feel “weird.”

Doe, her friend, Combs, and two to three other people allegedly then left in a black SUV and stopped at Combs’ New York City apartment.

It is there that Doe claims that Combs “forcefully” led her inside his bedroom, “put his hand around her throat and said, ‘I’m going to suck the life out of you.’ “

Doe claims that after he released her neck, he held her arm down “while using his other hand to swiftly unbuckle his belt and pants, before pulling out his erect bare-skinned penis which appeared to be the length and girth of a large tootsie roll.”

She claims to have been “relieved” about its size “because she knew it wouldn’t hurt as much,” but screamed for him to get off.

Combs allegedly ignored her pleas and “slid her underwear to the side, and forcefully engaged in vaginal intercourse with her without her consent and against her will.”

Doe claims that Combs did not stop penetrating “until he was close to climax.” He allegedly then removed his penis from her vagina and ejaculated on her.

After backing away, Doe alleges she went to the bathroom to wipe his semen off her and ran outside to the black SUV, which took her and her friend to her apartment.

Although Combs allegedly tried to contact her approximately two days later, she alleges that she did not answer his calls. Doe also alleges that she didn’t respond to an invitation to attend one of his white parties.

She alleges that the experience left her with “trouble being vulnerable and alone with men,” and that she “became withdrawn and was a shell of herself.” Approximately one year later, she also allegedly began attending therapy every week for approximately six months as a result of the alleged incident.

The lawsuit claims Doe “suffered physical abuse, emotional abuse, trauma, injury, and psychological damage, as a result of the defendants’ intentional, negligent, and criminal actions.” She is asking for a jury trial and damages.

PEOPLE has reached out to Combs’ representatives for comment.
