Caroline Stanbury is providing health updates via social media as she battles a “painful” eye infection.
The “Real Housewives of Dubai” alum, 48, first shared on TikTok earlier this week that she has swelling in her eye, which she thought made her “look ridiculous.”
Stanbury continued to chronicle her symptoms on the platform, often showcasing her oozing eyeball.
“It’s gotten worse, not better. I’ve taken antihistamine, I’ve had drops. We’re now in hospital,” she later told her followers. “I should’ve probably gone a few hours ago, but I didn’t think this was going to happen.”
Stanbury explained that she “just washed” her makeup brushes and was confused by what was happening, adding that she even “got a headache.”
The Bravo alum followed up with another clip on Thursday, telling her followers she and husband Sergio Carrallo had a “terrible night” at the hospital and were unhappy with their experience visiting doctors.
“I’ve never heard of anything like this in my life. What is intense conjunctivitis?” she said. “It’s so painful. I think you can see how bad this is. I mean you have to be bloody blind [to not see].”
“The crazy thing is, this happened within one day,” her husband then chimed in.
Stanbury also shared on TikTok that she was given painkillers to deal with the “burning” sensation.
“This has been so painful,” she admitted. “No improvement. It really feels like my eye might burst.”
She continued, “They’ve given me an IV drip of painkiller, which has really helped the pain behind my eyes. It’s like a burning sensation. It’s like your eyeball is burning up.
“So, the meds have kicked in now. I feel a lot better.” The reality star said she was also told the infection could last two weeks.”
In another Tiktok update Friday, the Bravolebrity told her followers that her condition is “not as painful” and she’s “on the mend.” However, her eye still appeared to be swollen and red.
Stanbury also posted her official diagnosis Friday via her Instagram Stories, revealing she has orbital cellulitis. Per the Cleveland Clinic, it is a “bacterial infection of the skin, fat and muscles around” the eyes.
The former “Ladies of London” star reassured her fans, though, that her “eyes will be fine” with “no longterm damage” as she thanked everyone for their thoughts and well wishes.
