Amy Adams is coming for her Oscar with Nightbitch, a new dark comedy about motherhood coming to theaters this weekend.
Written and directed by Marielle Heller (Can You Ever Forgive Me, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood), who adapted Rachel Yoder’s 2021 novel of the same name, Nightbitch stars Adams as a sleep-deprived mother at the end of her rope. Adams’ on-screen husband (Scoot McNairy) is gone five days of the week at his high-paying job, while Adams stays home all day to raise their two-year-old son. She’s exhausted, bored out of her mind, and also thinks she might be transforming into a dog.
Also starring Zoë Chao, Mary Holland, Ella Thomas, Archana Rajan, and Jessica Harper, Nightbitch captures all the rage, pain, and comedy of motherhood that mothers usually aren’t allowed to talk about. Where to watch the Amy Adams movie Nightbitch:
Nightbitch will only be available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens in the U.S. on Friday, December 6. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. Nightbitch is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.
Is Nightbitch streaming on Netflix or Amazon Prime Video?
Nightbitch is not streaming on Netflix or Amazon, and likely will not be on Netflix any time soon, due to the fact that it is not a Netflix film. Nightbitch is a Searchlight Pictures release, which is a studio that is owned by Disney. While some Searchlight films go to Disney+, most end up on the more adult-friendly streamer Hulu, which is also owned by Disney.
You will be able to purchase Nightbitch on Prime Video eventually, when the movie becomes available to buy and rent on digital, but you will not be able to stream Nightbitch on Prime Video free with a Prime subscription. If you want to watch Nightbitch movie at home, you’ll have to wait for the film to be available to buy or rent on digital platforms, or wait for it to stream on Hulu.
When will Nightbitch be streaming on Hulu?
Nightbitch is not yet streaming on Hulu. Right now, the movie is only in theaters. We do expect to see Nightbitch streaming on Hulu eventually, but we’re not sure when. Another Searchlight release, Kinds of Kindness, was released on digital about two months after the film opened in theaters, and was released on Hulu just a few days after that.
If Nightbitch follows a similar release pattern, you might see the movie on digital and on Hulu by February 2025. That said, you may see Nightbitch on Hulu even sooner, given that the film was originally supposed to be a straight-to-Hulu release.
This is all speculation. If you want to watch Nightbitch right away, you can catch the movie in theaters.
