Arosa, a municipality with a year-round population of about 3,100, is in the eastern Swiss canton of Graubünden. In 2013, it was connected to the Lenzerheide ski area by cable car, creating a larger resort that offers reciprocal skiing passes. Part of the Plessur Alps, Arosa, at 5,823 feet elevation, is surrounded by major mountain peaks such as Aroser Rothorn and Lenzerhorn.
