Justin Bieber’s rep has shut down the rumors that the pop star is unwell.
On Sunday, February 23, a rep for the 30-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter told TMZ that he is thriving in life right now and is not using any hard drugs — contrary to what the public might think.
Justin’s rep told the outlet that he is not doing drugs, is focused on being a dad, making music, and is pumped for his birthday later this week. In August 2024, Justin and his wife Hailey Bieber became parents for the first time as they welcomed son Jack Blues Bieber into the world.
His rep told TMZ that 2024 was, “very transformative for him as he ended several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him.”
The former teen heartthrob’s rep went on to tell the outlet that the rumors about Justin are, “exhausting and pitiful” and show “people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive” despite the “obvious truth.”
The “Peaches” hitmaker has made headlines recently as fans were concerned about his well-being due to how he looked during public outings. Earlier this month Justin got heat for donning a bathrobe on the streets of NYC.
Then, on Friday, February 21, a few videos of the two-time Grammy Award winner at his wife’s pop-up in Los Angeles for her beauty brand, Rhode, went viral on social media as people felt that his body language was off.
In one video posted to TikTok by Paris Match, Justin could be seen smiling, swaying side to side, and fixing his pants while in conversation with a woman.
Fans took to the comment section of the video to voice their concerns.
“Yea, he’s definitely using. So sad,” one person commented.
A second person wrote, “This is so hard to watch. Someone help him.”
“Looks exactly like Matthew Perry in the midst of his addiction. So sad,” someone else pointed out.
However, per TMZ, the “Baby” singer has been sober from drugs since 2014 and simply “drinks alcohol socially.”
One fan theorized Justin was just anxious in the video. “Justin has severe anxiety in public. He has mentioned this multiple times before,” they wrote. “He’s pulling at his pants because they’re either falling down or he’s just nervous. he’s smiling because he’s smiling.”
