At F1‘s celebratory 75 Event at The O2 earlier this week, all 10 teams, their drivers and Team Principals came together to unveil their 2025 liveries. Louis Vuitton also took the opportunity to present its new bespoke Louis Vuitton Trophy Trunk as part of Formula 1’s 75th anniversary celebrations.
The French luxury giant created a special edition FIA Formula One World Championship trophy trunk which will be awarded to the best driver of the season at the end of the year. The trunk is crafted with the tradition of all custom Louis Vuitton pieces for F1. Constructed at LV’s historic atelier in Asnières, in France, the trunk features two folding front panels with a hand painted V for “Victory” and “Vuitton” in the emblematic black and white Damier, recalling Formula 1® colors and finish line. The interior is covered by black leather and microfiber to protect the trophy while the exterior is finished with leather trim and the same brass corner protectors, lock and clasps that have been used on Louis Vuitton trunks since the 1860s.
Blending the world of fashion and sport, the partnership between Louis Vuitton and F1 continues to be develop. The two worked together to present the sport’s trophy trunk between 2021 and 2024 and continues to grow as the sport reaches a broader audience. Take a closer look at the trunk above.
