There’s no “Bad Blood” between Taylor Swift and her boyfriend’s parents — in fact, they hope she’ll stick around.
An exclusive source told Page Six on Wednesday, February 12 that Travis Kelce‘s parents, Ed and Donna, “have never seen Travis so happy with a girlfriend before,” and that they “would love” for her to become an official part of their family. The outlet reported that Ed and Donna, along with older brother Jason Kelce, “would love to see Taylor and Travis spend their lives together.” (Ed and Donna are divorced, but have retained a friendly relationship.)
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end and the pop star, both 35, have been going strong since the summer of 2023, leading fans to speculate on if they will get engaged. (When asked whether he planned to propose to Taylor on February 4, Kelce dodged the question, replying coyly, “Wouldn’t you like to know?”) Apparently, the Kelces and the Swifts are very much on board for the union. In fact, the source said that Travis’ “family gets along great with Taylor’s family too,” going so far as to say that the Swift and Kelce clans “blend seamlessly.” (The two extended families reportedly spent Thanksgiving together this holiday season.)
The fact that the two are both enormous celebrities apparently helps their relationship, as the family members “know Taylor isn’t using Travis for his fame and that she truly loves and cares about him for who he is.”
Taylor and Travis both had a challenging time at the Super Bowl in 2025, as Travis’ team lost the game and Taylor received an unfriendly reception from Eagles fans, who booed when she was shown on the JumboTron. “Travis’ family felt awful when Taylor was booed,” the same source told Page Six. “They don’t think anybody deserves that.”
