Travis Kelce is still feeling his “tough” Super Bowl 2025 loss.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end and his brother, Jason Kelce, reflected on Sunday’s big game on Wednesday’s emotional episode of his “New Heights” podcast.
Travis acknowledged the “hard reality,” saying, “Just wasn’t our day. Couldn’t find a lick of momentum. I’m kicking myself for some of the tiny, tiny decisions I made on the field.”
After calling the blowout game a “tough pill to swallow,” Travis apologized.
“I love my teammates, I love my coaches. Chiefs Kingdom, I’m sorry for how it ended,” the tight end, who appeared visibly upset, said. “I have a beautiful life man.
“I wish I had made better decisions early on to help my guy Pat[rick Mahomes] out and help my team find that momentum and that confidence,” he continued. “But you know, I just have to tip my hat to the Eagles.”
Of course, Kelce had girlfriend Taylor Swift to help him get over the loss. A source told Page Six the pop star, 35, was “comforting” her athlete boyfriend after the big game.
“Taylor knows Travis took this loss very hard but she couldn’t be more proud of him regardless of the outcome,” the insider told us.
While Travis did not mention Swift directly during the episode, he said, “I have loved ones, I have the most amazing family in the world that supports me in everything I do and they were all there, cheering me on and hoping for the best on Sunday.”
The “So High School” songstress watched the Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday from her VIP suite where she was joined by her brother, Austin Swift, and her dad, Scott Swift. She was also joined by several famous friends including close pals Ice Spice, Alana Haim, Este Haim and Ashley Avignone.
A visibly disheartened Travis, 35, was later spotted heading toward his family’s VIP suite to meet his girlfriend and family after the loss. His mom, Donna Kelce, dad, Ed Kelce, and brother were in the star-studded suite throughout the evening.
Travis told reporters in the locker room after the shocking defeat that the team “couldn’t get it going offensively,” which led to the 40-22 loss.
“I mean, they just got after us on all three phases and then on top of that, you know, turnovers, penalties, playing behind the sticks on offense,” he said in an X video.

“We haven’t played that bad all year,” Kelce continued. “You don’t lose like that without everything going bad.”
Travis chose to skip the team’s official Super Bowl 2025 afterparty following the team’s loss — as did most of his teammates.
In a FaceTime call with his pals the Chainsmokers on Sunday night, the “Grotesquerie” star — whose future with the NFL remains in question after Sunday’s game — revealed he was spending the night in his hotel room.
“Most of the players skipped the afterparty, including Travis and Patrick [Mahomes],” a source told Page Six on Tuesday. “Everyone just went back to their rooms or AirBNBs and just stayed in.”
