Kylie Kelce isn’t the least bit disappointed to be pregnant with a fourth daughter — but her reason why may come as a surprise.
On the Tuesday, February 11 episode of the podcast Call Her Daddy, the 32-year-old field hockey coach addressed speculation that she and former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, 37, had been hoping for a boy before announcing in November 2024 that they were expecting another sister for daughters Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 23 months.
According to the mom, fans “really want us to have a boy” and spread rumors that they had been trying for a son.
“I will say, there was this moment when we found out we were having our fourth girl where I was like, ‘We’ve always said we wanted four kids, maybe I won’t get to meet a little Jason,’” she told podcast host Alex Cooper.
“Which was a little bit weird, but at the same time I’m like, ‘If we had a boy at this point, I’m good,” she continued, joking, “I’ve gone this long without getting peed on when I open a diaper, I’m trying to keep that streak alive.”
Now, Kylie is fully embracing life in a house full of girls.
“Four girls is better than four boys,” she told Cooper. “When I meet boy moms, I’m like, ‘God bless you.’ Even my mother-in-law. My mother-in-law has told me horror stories.”
One of those stories? Kylie revealed how when her husband was a little kid, his mother — her mother-in-law, Donna Kelce — once heard someone shout, “He has a knife!”
“[Jason] was in the front yard, with the kitchen knives, throwing them up in the air to see if they would stick in the front lawn,” Kylie recalled.
In a Wednesday, February 5 interview with Parents, Kylie made it clear she doesn’t feel like she’s missing out by not having a son, insisting she and Jason “were meant to have all girls.”
“I loved having a sister growing up,” she told the outlet. “I know how special my relationship is with my sister and how much I love her, and so knowing that they have each other is so exciting to us.”
