Pharrell Invites Nigo to Collaborate on Louis Vuitton FW25 for Paris Presentation
Pharrell presented Louis Vuitton Men’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection at the historic Louvre Museum alongside a familiar guest. Celebrating their decades-long creative partnership the French maison’s creative director invited A Bathing Ape founder NIGO to collaborate on the line.
Set in a dramatic rotunda with a live orchestra, the runway showcased models weaving through vault-like structures while stars like J-Hope, Travis Scott, and Idris Elba attended. The collection includes several easter egg moments that recall their previous collaborations, as well as references to bygone Louis Vuitton eras like Marc Jacobs‘ 2000s tenure at the Maison. Additionally, the presentation showcased over 40 colorways of the ButterSoft sneaker, Y2K-inspired varsity jackets, and nostalgic elements like flip phone keychains.
Prada FW25 Is Presented at Fondazione Prada in Milan
Prada‘s FW25 menswear show, held at Fondazione Prada, showcased a bold exploration of creativity and human nature through a multi-level industrial set. Guests were greeted with a cryptic silver metal pipe invitation, hinting at the industrial theme.
Designers Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons presented 56 looks emphasizing instinct, spontaneity, and juxtaposition. Contrasting combinations, including bare chests under overcoats with stoles, bright purple trousers with plaid trenches, and bomber jackets over cow print shirts, highlighted the playful experimentation behind dressing. Delicate floral broaches on serious blazers and fluffy trapper hats with cheerful prints added a whimsical touch to the dynamic collection. Concluding with roaring applause, the event solidified Fondazione Prada as Milan’s newest cultural hotspot.
Kim Jones Presented With French Legion of Honor Award After Dior Show
Dior Men’s creative director Kim Jones was honored with France’s highest civilian award, the Legion of Honor following his Dior Men’s Winter 2025 show in Paris. The recognition celebrates the English designer’s talent, passion, and contributions as artistic director of Dior Men. Expressing his surprise and gratitude to WWD, Jones shared, “When I got the letter, I cried. It’s something you never think you’ll get.” Condé Nast’s Anna Wintour, who adjusted her schedule to present the award, will lead the ceremony. “She’s been incredibly supportive,” Jones remarked, calling her a “tour de force.”
The aforementioned runway presentation stuck to a strict color palette of black and white with subtle moments of pink and gray. While some modes wore satin ribbons blindfolds around their heads, beaded overcoats and suit jackets resembled delicate raindrops moving down the shoulders. The presentation closed triumphantly with a voluminous pink robe coat adorned with crystal embellishments.
Jacquemus Show To Be Shot Entirely on iPhone 16 Pro Max
Set to take place in the former home of French architect Auguste Perret Jacquemus’ Spring 2025 “La Croisière” runway show will be entirely shot using the iPhone 16 Pro Max. The brand announced that a specialized installation will integrate the iPhones into the scenography, offering guests an interactive experience merging fashion and technology.
Reflecting on the brand’s origins Simon Porte Jacquemus told Vogue, “Jacquemus was built on an iPhone,” recalling how he used the device to share early showrooms and events. This inspired his decision to film the entire show with iPhones, eliminating human photographers. Seventeen cameras will be strategically placed throughout Perret’s apartment to capture runway shots and close-ups with ease. The collaboration with Apple underscores the innovative spirit of the brand, which is no stranger to creating global spectacles. Further updates on the show are expected soon.
Fear of God ESSENTIALS Announces NBA Paris Capsule Collection
Jerry Lorenzo’s Fear of God ESSENTIALS and NBA debuted a special FW25 collection in Paris during Men’s Fashion Week, coinciding with the NBA Paris Games. The brand aims to celebrate its new partnership with the NBA, drawing inspiration from athletes’ elegance on and off the court. The Residence also features the brand’s Fall 2025 “A Civil Collection,” inspired by 1960s American style and individual authenticity, which is set for release later this year. Marking a seamless crossover between basketball and fashion, pieces from the special Fear of God ESSENTIALS for NBA Paris Collection are now available via the official Fear of God web store.
Poggy and Porsche Team Up for Timeless Capsule Collection
Motofumi Kogi, better known as “Poggy,” has collaborated with Porsche to merge his signature style with the automaker’s iconic 911 Carrera T. To accompany the capsule Poggy designed a sepia brown 911 inspired by the 1970s, complete with custom illustrations tied to his apparel collection. Drawing from British racer Jackie Stewart’s tailored elegance and Princess Diana’s relaxed sophistication, the collection features tartan patterns, V-neck knitted sweaters, denim jackets, and a range of workwear-inspired pieces.
The collaboration will be showcased at SELECT by BAYCREW’S in Tokyo, alongside a limited-edition apparel line created with BAYCREW’S. Items are priced from ¥13,200 to ¥60,500 JPY ($84 to $387 USD),
BEAMS PLUS To Host NYC Pop-Up Shop at Noah’s Flagship
BEAMS PLUS is continuing its U.S. expansion with a New York pop-up located at 199 Mulberry St., next to NY-based brand Noah’s flagship. Open from January 28 to February 28, 2025, the pop-up celebrates BEAMS PLUS’s 25th anniversary and expounds upon its global expansion strategy. The NYC BEAMS PLUS LIMITED STORE follows the brand’s first U.S. pop-up in Los Angeles last fall, which marked a major milestone for the Japanese label, known for drawing inspiration from early American fashion.
Visitors will be able to shop the latest Spring/Summer 2025 collection alongside the Fall/Winter 2024 line, featuring original jacquard-woven fabrics and double-dyed indigo denim. Classic menswear staples, including Oxford shirts, three-button blazers, and two-pleat chinos will also be available.
