After a delay following the fires in Los Angeles, the nominations for the 97th Academy Awards were announced Thursday morning, with “The Brutalist,” “Emilia Perez” and “Wicked” receiving the most nods.
“The Brutalist” received 10 nominations including for best picture, best director and original screenplay. “Wicked” and “Emilia Perez” both got eight nominations.
The Brazilian feature “I’m Still Here,” which took home a best actress prize at the Golden Globes for its star Fernanda Torres, was nominated for best picture, international feature and actress.
The ceremony, hosted by Conan O’Brien, will take place on March 2 and air on ABC and will stream on Hulu.
