A convicted child rapist out on parole slashed his ex-girlfriend and then shoved her onto Manhattan subway tracks in front of her teenage daughters, prosecutors alleged Thursday.
Michael Blount, 29, grabbed the 37-year-old victim by the hair and tried to slit her throat as she waited for an A train at the 125th Street station around 11 p.m. on Nov. 5, according to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.
The victim tried to protect herself preventing the attacker from reaching her neck as he slashed her face repeatedly with a razor blade, prosecutors said.
Blount allegedly then shoved the woman onto the tracks — feet away from her daughters, who were able to pull their mom back up onto the planform just 2 minutes before the next train arrived, according to the DA’s office.
The sicko ran off and evaded police for several weeks — all while calling, texting, and harassing the victim and her daughters, prosecutors said.
He was finally arrested on Dec. 28, and was indicted Wednesday on attempted murder and other charges.
“As alleged, Michael Blount brutally slashed his ex-girlfriend before pushing her onto the train tracks in front of her teenage daughters,” District Attorney Alvin Bragg said in a statement.
“Despite what must have been a terrifying attack, one of her daughters was able to pull her mother from the tracks, likely saving her life.”
Right before the chilling attack, Blount had pestered his ex-girlfriend and her kids at a Harlem deli
Before the attack, Blount had allegedly pestered his ex-girlfriend and her family at a Harlem deli after repeatedly calling her, according to court documents.
She gave him the cold shoulder and left the store with her daughters, but Blount followed them down the steps to the A-train station, prosecutors charged.
He then returned to the deli and bought a single razor blade — before going back into the subway and trying to kill the victim, the DA’s office said.
A bystander called the woman and her daughters a cab that took them to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital to treat her injuries, which required plastic surgery, according to prosecutors.
Blount is a convicted sex criminal and a registered “sexually violent offender,” state records show.
He was found guilty of raping a 12-year-old girl — a stranger — in Brooklyn in 2013 and served seven years in prison, according to state Department of Corrections records.
Blount was also charged with robbery and was released in 2020 and on parole until 2025.
He pleaded not-guilty in Manhattan Supreme Court Thursday and was ordered held without bail.
