Jessica Simpson fueled ongoing divorce speculation on Friday, when she stepped out without her wedding ring during a movie outing with her two eldest children in Calabasas, California.
For the outing, the 44-year-old singer wore an eye-catching orange coat with patterned details. She paired the statement piece with a pair of jeans and some boots.
Simpson’s daughter Maxwell, 12, was photographed alongside the “Dukes of Hazzard” actress. The pre-teen was photographed wearing a gray sweatsuit and holding a pair of headphones.
Simpson’s son, Ace, followed closely behind his mom and sister in a red hoodie and blue shorts as they walked through the parking lot.
Simpson is also a mom to 5-year-old daughter Birdie Mae. Though, the youngest child was seemingly not present.
The outing comes after it was reported that the “Irresistible” singer was “heartbroken” over her alleged separation from husband Eric Johnson.
Sources told Us Weekly last month that she was having “an incredibly difficult time” dealing with the alleged breakup.
“[It was] not an easy decision,” said the insider of Simpson’s choice to separate, adding that she and the retired football player are “living separately right now.”
A third insider also told the outlet that the two are “trying to figure out a separation without disrupting their kids’ lives as much as possible.”
The pair is “still figuring things out,” they noted.
Speculation over the singer’s marriage began circulating last month after she teased a potential musical comeback via Instagram.
Johnson was also seen without his wedding ring on his hand in November, shortly after it was reported that he and Simpson no longer attend their children’s school events together.
Simpson and Johnson tied the knot in July 2014. She was previously married to Nick Lachey from 2002 to 2006.
