“When Sandro presented us with this screenplay based on an unbelievable true story, it was an immediate yes,” said producer Richard Salvatore, the veteran U.S. producer whose credits include The Big Wedding and The Comeback Trail. “Corleone, Sicily, is world-famous thanks to The Godfather. The difference here is that Sandro and his father are actually from Corleone, lending the story a deeply personal and authentic foundation.”
Chamdin said: “This film is not just a thrilling story but also a deeply personal one for its creators. Molded into a tense thriller in the vein of classic Lumet or Frankenheimer films, I knew right away that I had to make this movie. With this powerful non-stop page-turner of a script, it was an opportunity impossible to pass on“.
Salvatore’s upcoming projects include Stolen Girl, starring Kate Beckinsale and Scott Eastwood, and Off the Grid, starring Josh Duhamel and Greg Kinnear. Adams most recently finished showrunning the TV Series Mr. Birchum and has produced films including The 24 Hour War and Morgan Freeman’s Vanquish.
Lorino is the former head buyer for broadcast giant RTL and head of production & marketing at Splendid Film. Costabile has been an assistant producer on movies Kill ‘Em All 2 and the upcoming Stolen Girl. German vet Schweitzer, most recently a producer on action-thriller Operation Napoleon, was CEO of Splendid Medien, Managing Director of the Tele München Group, CEO of Universum, and head of acquisitions & sales at European broadcaster RTL Group.
Chamdin is represented by Martina Österling at Scandinavian firm Albatros Agency.
