EXCLUSIVE: Danish actor Roland Møller (Citadel) has landed the lead villain role opposite Jason Statham and Annabelle Wallis in Lionsgate‘s action-thriller Mutiny. Others newly aboard for key roles are Arnas Fedaravičius (The White Lotus) and Adrian Lester (The Sandman).
In Mutiny, which has just wrapped production in the UK and Malta, after his billionaire industrialist boss is murdered in front of him, Cole Reed is set up to take the fall for the crime — leaving him on the run as he works to uncover an international conspiracy. Further character details for today’s new trio of cast members weren’t disclosed.
Jean-François Richet is directing from a script by Lindsay Michel and J.P. Davis, his collaborator on the recent Lionsgate action thriller Plane starring Gerard Butler and Mike Colter. Statham and his newly minted production company Punch Palace Productions are producing alongside Marc Butan under his MadRiver Pictures banner, who also worked on Plane.

Lionsgate is distributing in North America, with Lauren Bixby and Scott O’Brien overseeing for the studio, and Evan Powell overseeing for MadRiver.
The film marks the first venture under MadRiver Pictures’ recently announced multi-year equity financing and distribution deal with international distributors including DeAPlaneta (Spain), Eagle Pictures (Italy), IDC Distribution (Latin America), Italia Film (Middle East), LEONINE Studios (Germany and Austria), Shochiku (Japan), SND (France) and Unicorn Media (Eastern Europe), who will each handle distribution in their respective territories.
Recently starring opposite Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra on the Russo Brothers’ Amazon series Citadel, Møller is otherwise perhaps best known for his award-winning performance in Martin Zandvliet’s Oscar-nominated post-WWII drama Land of Mine, as well as films like Atomic Blonde, Skyscraper, Riders of Justice, and Papillon. He is repped by CAA and Denmark’s Art Management.
Soon to be seen in The White Lotus Season 3, Fedaravičius has also appeared in series The Wheel of Time and The Last Kingdom. He is repped by The Artists Partnership and Actors in Scandinavia.
Credits for Lester include Disney+’s Renegade Nell, Netflix’s The Sandman, and Mary Queen of Scots opposite Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie. He’s repped by ARG.
