Located about 12 miles southeast of the city of Olbia, which has some 60,000 residents, the house has views of the countryside’s mountains and rolling hills. While the property is somewhat isolated, some of Sardinia’s most stunning beaches on the Tyrrhenian Sea are about a 10-minute drive.
Porto San Paolo, a former fishing village with several thousand residents, offers beaches and hiking trails and sweeping views of the nearby islands of Tavolara and Molara. San Teodoro, a picturesque seaside town with a lagoon that’s home to a flock of flamingos, is about eight miles east. A three-bedroom house, six-bedroom guesthouse and pool in the countryside
This nine-bedroom, 10-bathroom estate with two buildings and a pool complex is about six miles from the city of Alghero, in northwest Sardinia.
The secluded estate sits on 62 acres of Monte Pettenadu, about 1,050 feet above sea level, and has views of the Mediterranean Sea and the city of Alghero, with about 40,000 residents. The region is dotted with Bronze Age stone towers called nuraghi and tiny churches. While activities such as hiking, cycling, canoeing and horsebackriding are popular in the hills, most services are in Alghero.
The region, known as the Coral Coast, is a tourist attraction renowned for its red coral, white sand beaches, rocky formations and the surrounding green maquis vegetation. La Speranza beach, in the village of Poglina, is a 20-minute drive, and the Capo Caccia headland near Neptune’s Grotto is about 50 minutes away. Alghero also attracts motor-sport enthusiasts to the annual Alghero-Scala Piccada Hill Climb. The Alghero-Fertilia Airport, which has international flights, is about 12 miles north of the estate.
